Founded to do the boring parts properly.
Heritage Hill Builders was founded by Jasvir Singh and operates out of Savanna in Calgary’s northeast. We build for two kinds of client: homeowners who want a home built or reworked to suit how they actually live, and investors developing suites, basements and garages for rental income.
Most of what separates a good build from a bad one isn’t the carpentry — it’s whether the scope was written down, whether the permits were handled, whether the schedule was honest, and whether anyone picked up the phone. That’s the part we built this company around.
We keep the number of concurrent projects deliberately low. It means we’re occasionally booked further out than a larger outfit — and it means the person who quoted your job is the person who knows what’s happening on it.

These aren’t slogans — they’re the specific things clients tell us went wrong on their last build.
Put it in writing
Scope, allowances, exclusions and schedule, itemised, before any money changes hands. If it isn’t in the quote, it isn’t in the price — and we say so plainly rather than leaving it vague.
Build to code, not around it
Permits pulled, engineering where it’s required, inspections booked and attended. Particularly on secondary suites, where an unpermitted job is a liability you inherit at resale.
One person, start to finish
You get a single point of contact who knows your file. No re-explaining your own project to a third person who just got handed it.
Tell you early, not late
Weather, permit turnaround and supply delays are real. What isn’t acceptable is finding out because nobody showed up. If a date moves, you hear it from us first.
Respect the property
Dust control, tidy site, protected finishes, and materials stored properly. You’re usually still living there — we work like it.
Finish the list
A deficiency list that actually gets completed, a proper walkthrough, and your permit and warranty paperwork handed over in order at the end.

Building or reworking a family home
A custom home on your own lot, a kitchen or whole-floor renovation, or an addition because moving doesn’t make sense. Usually a once-or-twice-in-a-lifetime project, which is exactly why the scope and schedule need to be honest.
Developing rental income
Legal secondary suites, basement developments and garages that add usable, rentable square footage. We’ll tell you at the consultation whether a property can legally support what you’re hoping for.
People who’ve had a bad build before
A fair number of our enquiries come from someone finishing a project another builder walked away from, or repricing one that grew past recognition. We’re comfortable being the second opinion.
